Fix for collisions and minimaps https://www.gtainside.com/en/gta5/other/173716-fix-the-collisions-and-minimaps-for-the-latest-update-from-dec-15-patch-1-58-v1-0-2545-lc-vc-sa-cp-etc/
Requirements:
OpenIV https://openiv.com/
To install this:
1. in the archive, choose a folder (high, medium or low quality), then choose a file (with or without the name of the street and area) and extract it
2. go to OpenIV, click on tools, select package installer, browse for oiv file and install it (I recommend installing it in mods folder)
Optional: - if you want a less transparent radar (to see it better), extract the “less transparent radar” folder and install that oiv too; !!!it will replace graphics.ytd from update/update.rpf/x64/textures, so if you already have something modded here, replace radarmasksm.png from “manual install” folder, in your graphics.ytd
- if you want to see only the map, not the interiors, install no interiors.oiv; !!!it will replace minimap.ytd from update/update.rpf/x64/patch/data/cdimages/ scaleform_minimap.rpf, so if you have modded blips, please backup that file
- I also added atlas style interiors and maps for north yankton and cayo perico (you can try high quality version, but if you have big frame drops or any crash when it loads an interior/tunnel/map, you can try a lower quality); !!!again, this will replace minimap.ytd
3. The End.
Note: This is the standard version, if you want my full maps (with street names, yachts and fast update), my unreleased maps, or video tutorials, these are exclusive on my patreon page https://www.patreon.com/LorenVidican
To uninstall this :’(
- extract the uninstall folder and run the uninstaller
- if you installed less transparent radar/atlas interriors/maps/no interios, use the uninstaller for them too (or manual uninstall for less transparent radar)
Features:
A high quality satellite map with good contrast and colors to see it nice and very good position; you can choose if you want the name of the street and area on map or not; you can have them only on the menu map or only on the radar; you can install a less transparent radar (to see it better); you can install atlas interiors and atlas maps for North Yankton and Cayo Perico, or you can remove the interios to see only the map.
Known Issues:
- Pause menu map can load slowely at times, because it loads the whole high resolution map, and it doesn’t have coverage like the original map.
- With max zoom, the quality isn’t awesome, but still ok.
- Few roads with a slightly bad position (not something big).
- With atlas interiors/maps, you can get frame drops when it loads them.
Changelog
1.0 - initial release; high quality; good contrast and colors to see it nice; very good position; less transparent radar to see it better
1.1 - small improvements for the map; uninstaller is now included in the main archive; graphics.ytd isn't included in the oiv file anymore; the version with the name of the street and area is now exclusive on my patreon page
1.1.1 - added all the street and area names for the version with them (big thanks to bowlingforsoups on GTA Forums who wrote all the street names for the original map); fixed the blurry radar so you no longer need to install radar zoom; the mod won’t decrease the fps but the pause menu map is loaded slowely so I added medium/low quality version if you want it to load faster or if you have other loading problems; added oiv to remove the interiors if you want to see only the map; added atlas style interiors and atlas maps for north yankton and cayo perico

There are a few problems you may have after installing this mod. I addressed these problems in previous comments, but i will write all of them in this comment, because I won't reply again to these problems.
1. If you have the version of the game v1.0.2545/patch 1.58 or newer, the black minimap in low quality will still be there and there will be infinite loading for pause menu. You have to install "Fix the minimaps..." for this problem. You can find the installer in the download section of this page, or using this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/12f2sJbGTzrVCDK-6Q8MgLr1zGm-2k5gl/view?usp=sharing
2. If you still have the black minimap only on the radar, this means you still have the original files between your files, mods like Vice Cry West/VC Overhaul, AkinaV, Chicago, etc. have these files, so you will need to remove all of these files. Go to OpenIV, use the search function and enter "minimap", then you will see an option to search for minimap in all of the archives. When the search is over, you only care about minimap.....ydd files (not ytd or something else, be careful). If you installed this mod in mods folder, make sure you don't remove ydd files from x64e.rpf found in your main gta folder, but remove any other minimap.....ydd file. Or if you installed it in game folder, remove all ydd files you get.
3. Some people reported that nothing is visible on the radar and pause menu map after installing the mod with or without the fix. This means the files are not installed correctly (especially minimap.ymt), so you can try to reinstall the mod. If the problem is still there, using OpenIV go to mods/x64a.rpf/data/tune/ then open the oiv file using winrar or something, open content folder and drop minimap.ymt in OpenIV.
If something didn't work, or if you have another problem I didn't mention, please try to reinstall the mod, or your game if you still have problems.
@Michael21107 If you have it installed and it's working, there is no point to change it, so better wait for the update.
@LorenVidican i dont have it installed, and last time i installed map that was replacing vanilla files, I'm pretty sure something became corrupted, that's why I'm asking
Not only did it not work and i followed the instructions and after uninstalling it it corrupted my game and textures arent loading like the were before delete this SHIT MOD.
the problem of this mod is that it will delete `<delete>x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf</delete>` which will make it incompatible with other mod, HUD mod, which requires this file to work
why deleting scaleform_generic.rpf inside x64\data\cdimages. Make it works ?
i don't understand the logic behind this
i figured out what was wrong with it, this mod will kill many mods out there , such as ColorfulHUD, i found the solution for it, just edit the assembly file in this mod, delete this line `<add source="content.xml">\content.xml</add>` and the `delete command line` and also changed the nodes inside x64b to `\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" createIfNotExist="True" type="RPF7"`. then it will work flawlessly. This happen because the author of this mod is just too lazy, his fix file deletes the original game files, make it impossible to merge with tons of mods out there
@taomuonanga false statement about my mod and the wrong solution for a "permanent fix". My fix doesn't "detete" anything, it just move scaleform_generic.rpf inside "patch" folder where it was before rockstar moved in patch 1.58 (v1.0.2545). If the rpf is inside "patch" folder, it won't overwrite the files from my mod inside x64b, also it will still be compatible with the versions of the hud mods, made before v1.0.2545 (when this update was out, one of the authors of the colorful hud updated his mod as well, and I asked him to let the older version public, so it will be compatible with my mods, and also for people having older version of the game).
For anyone who installed my Fix for Minimaps, and want hud mods, the easiest solution is to open the oiv for the hud mod (if it has an oiv) using winrar or something, open assembly.xml and replace this line (if it's under <archive path="update\update.rpf"...)
<archive path="\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" createIfNotExist="True" type="RPF7">
with this one
<archive path="\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" createIfNotExist="True" type="RPF7">
Or in case it's not an oiv, drop hud.ytd and mp_big_message_freemode.ytd inside \update\update.rpf\\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf and not inside \update\update.rpf\\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf
When I will update all of my minimaps, I will put my files inside a dlc so there will be no problem like this, but until then, the solution to make them compatible is still very easy.
@LorenVidican i dont have it installed, and last time i installed map that was replacing vanilla files, I'm pretty sure something became corrupted, that's why I'm asking
@Michael21107 if you install it in mods folder, it won't replace anything. And if you install the fix for minimaps, nothing will be corrupted
@LorenVidican but it should replace something in mods folder, no?
@LorenVidican ↑ ↑ ↑
@LorenVidican hello when you can share the update I can't use the Mod, I tray with your solutions posted here, but not working :(
@Michaelsk Did you try to install the fix from the pinned comment?
mod doesnt even work. makes my game crash immediately on startup. dont download
It looks really Nice but the mod doesn't work because when I run the game and open the map or look at the minimap it shows
an extremely low quality version of the vanilla map. I also installed the high quality version if anyone is wondering.
2024 still works :) (you must first install 1.1.1 standard later install FIX the maps to works this mod)
@Vak0s
hey i have a question i have NVE install and almost every addon include in NVE but the hide reticle addon make the mini map not work if you can help that would be great
@Milo234 idk i never install this nve addon but i think you must install the satelite map after install nve addons
where should i put the fix file? there is a folder and two files in it
@LorenVidican I found that I installed color hud according to the way you said, it can indeed be installed, but after installing color hud, some of the weapons map disappeared, is transparent, you know what to do ?
