With settings to adjust 'how' invisible you and your car become, ranging from completely invisible (even to you!) all the way to no change (not sure why you'd want this!) and everything in between, ditch the cops, steal that boat or car without a chase, or just zip around the map pretending you're a ghost and make a movie of it. make your car completely invisible (even to you) or only sleightly inviisble. It's up to you.

- Download and install the latest Script Hook V (Available here: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/script-hook-v).
- Download The latest Script Hook .NET Version 2.X (From GITHUB, HERE: https://github.com/crosire/scripthookvdotnet/releases/download/v2.10.10/ScriptHookVDotNet.zip) and copy the ScriptHookVDotNet.asi, ScriptHookVDotNet2.dll and ScriptHookVDotNet2.dll files into your game directory.
- Create a Directory "Scripts" in your game directory
- Place Invisicar.DLL AND Invisicar.INI in the "Scripts" directory
That's it for the setup!
Usage:

For more detailed customizations, the INI File has the following settings:
# Application Wide Settings
[App Settings]
# This setting defines the key which toggles this mod on and off
keyToggleModOnOff=NumPad0
# This setting defines the key which toggles invisibility
# DEFAULT VALUE = NumPadDelete
keyToggleInvisibility=NumPadDelete
# This setting defines HOw invisible to make the car (or other vehicles you decide to inhabit)
# Valid Values Range from 0 (totally invisible) to 100 (totally visible, no real effect discernable)
# DEFAULT VALUE = 20 (almost completely transparent)
nPercentageOfInvisibility=20
# This setting determines if the PLAYER and OCCUPANTS of the vehicle, WHILE RIDING in the vehicle
# become invisible too. While I prefer NOT making the players and occupants invisible, this lets you choose.
bIncludePlayerAndPassengers=true
# This setting determines the speed of the change. Does it become transparent instantly, or is it a more
# chameleon-like gradual shift. I prefer the chameleon.
bChameleonLikeTransparency=true

Hella good dawg! Like some James Bond cloaking device!
@gtavjamal Thanks man. That was the goal! Glad you enjoyed!
@TimelordQ I love you for making this. I can confirm that this can be used as a hotfix for SkateV which has had its invisibility function bugged for a while. I wonder if you would be willing to make an option to allow the mod to always make the car / player invisible when the mod is turned on instead of having to press the button, would make it an even better fix so I wouldn't have to keep deactivating/activating the mod every time I fall off the skateboard. In any case BRAVO!! 5 stars for sure
Hey what I requested above isn't even necessary! - I just found out if you bind the skateKey in SkateV to the same thing as keyToggleInvisibility the scripts work perfectly together. My only tiny nitpick is it'd be great to have an option to turn off notifications. Thanks again! @TimelordQ
Sorry to spam your page, I found a bug(?) that while invisible all police vehicles are stuck driving in place, as soon as you go visible they immediately are able to move again. It looks very strange, but I tested it pretty thoroughly and it only effects police vehicles. Is this a part of the script to help you lose the cops? Could this be an option to disable in the ini? thanks again!
@TheGanjaFarmer Curious why ya'd call this a bug! It's an actual feature. Imagine you're a cop and trying to pursue a suspect and they disappear, completely in the area. Not only do they lose you as a target, but they might be extremely confused. And do weird and unexpected stuff when your wanted level is up but they can't find ya. My script doesn't control their AI AI. I merely make you untargetable. What you see is the AI's response to that. Funny and strange, right?
@TheGanjaFarmer Glad ya caught that keystroke thing. I thought everyone knew that trick. I myself keep several mods going at the same time which is why I seperated it out like that, but your trick applies to any mod where effects can be merged into one keystroke. Glad you enjoy it!
@TheGanjaFarmer One last thing about the notifications. Unless there's a major bug that crops up, I won't be making further revisions to this. However, if you're a code monkey and wanting to make changes yourself, I posted the code fot this in it's entirety to GITHUB, here https://github.com/universalbri/Invisicar
The project was created with Microsoft Community Development Studio v2019, free edition, and even for a novie coder, making a change such as yours would be easy. Just branch the source and give it a whirl.
Enjoy!
@TimelordQ yea I see, I thought it might be intentional. But because I am using the script to fix SkateV, my player and skateboard are still visible (it removes the replaced character/bike as is intended). So I'd like the option to make the police act normally. I like to try to escape from them on my skateboard from time to time.
@TheGanjaFarmer Yeah. Not what I intended it for. Sorry. Someone hit the nail on the head in earlier comments when they said it's like a James Bond invisibility cloak. What the police can't see, they can't chase when you engage it.. I'm not really interested in this project growing with even minor custom modifications to deviate from this, BUT the source is there for ya to make those changes yourself, and all of it's free too!! At no cost to ya!
Too much fun!! Perfect with this mod

@TimelordQ Sorry double post. Just my luck lol, Worked perfect on my friends computer. I got home tried mines...no luck. Your Haunted Church mod works perfect but I cant get this one to even register. Re-installed the pre-requisites. Tried different settings keys. Question please. Does it require game version 2545 and Windows 10? (Im using game version 2372 and Windows 8.1).
@gtavjamal Requires the latest everything. As does the latest script hook. All my mods will always use the latest versions of everything on release.
@TimelordQ Thanks for the clarification dawg (and mod of course). Another question please. You do great mods! In future if any of your older mods don't work with future game versions will you make them compatible? (Assuming they don't require specific resources from any future game versions).
@gtavjamal Probably not. Usually I'm experimenting with ideas in GTA5 modding and a formal mod develops from an idea I'm toying with. Because the support won't be ongoing for any of it should a Rockstar version change break my older builds, and because I've literally not made a penny from anything I've done (sad but true), there's no compelling reason to support any of it once I'm done with it. To help the community I've gotten in the habit of posting all my source to GITHUB for those who may want to take it over so it's not completely abandoned once it's released. Thanks for the compliments though!
Fair enough thanks again. There are many broken great old mods. I currently run multiple previous game versions so I can still use them. Using one game version to run them all would be ideal tho.

@L2w31 Sounds like a version issue. Check your versions. This absolutely requires the latest GTA5 (not pirated), and the latest scripthook and scripthook .net downloaded from GITHUB in order to run. It wont work on older versions of GTA5 that aren't up to date.
@kroweisreallypog Thanks for destorying my rating! As you said. You can be like Wonder Woman. I made it clear in the readme it's a novelty mod, for fun. Not sure why you have to not only launch a verbal assault because you can't find tangible benefits for someone you don't even know, but also destroy the rating when others clearly got enjoyment out of it.
Thanks, anyways, for... Well. Nothing. I can't work from your feedback to make this better if all you're going to do is insult.
